A unique #PeaceandCraft multi-craft project kit with stunning vintage & luxe materials, inspirational guidance and optional online company to make your own entirely personal, gorgeous, grown-up advent calendar! Perfect for fans of scrapcrafting, vintage haberdashery, textiles, papercraft & opulent textures. Accessible for beginner crafters AND satisfying for those with more advanced skills.
The run up to Christmas is notoriously a time when selfcare can fall to the bottom of the pile as to-do lists rage and seasonal magic is focused on the little ones. Protect your own magic this year (of all years) by preparing ahead - join AnnaJane & other like-minded crafters through October & November for some calm crafting time and create something just for yourself to carry you through this festive season.
Kit (sent during October/November) includes all you need to create your own collection of linen & calico bags, paper boxes and pretty envelopes, plus a #peaceandcraft scraps pack with a carefully curated selection of lovely luxe, vintage and otherwise interesting small textile pieces including silks, velvet, linen, tweed, organza & wovens along with trims, ribbons, lace, vintage buttons, sequins, wire, beads, threads, yarns fibres and other bits & pieces in grown up colour palettes to decorate & embellish all 24 (or 25!) pouches however you like. You'll just need your own scissors and maybe some glue and pens!
Project purchase also includes participants-only access to live online workshop sessions on dates to suit as many as possible during November (using Zoom), digital demos, blog content via email and a private social group (hosted by #peaceandcraft on Facebook for sharing and support throughout the project).
There'll be technique demos & ideas for embellishment inspired by hand embroidery, origami, wirecraft, sashiko, mixed media, penwork & collage. But really, the canvas is blank for your own inspiration and interpretation. We'll work together and enjoy the community of shared crafting while we swap ideas, show off our makes or assist with suggestions for any blank minds in the group!
At the end of November, fill the pouches with your own treats to give yourself a private little daily boost through Advent, however busy the rest of the month gets. You could pop pretty bath & selfcare bits, chocolates or special sweets, more mini craft bits or 'inspo bundles' in the bags & boxes; the envelopes are ideal for handwritten affirmations to yourself, IOUs for lovely things to do in 2021, reminders of your strength or things you are grateful for. Or team up with a buddy who knows you well to stock each other's! (I'm going to mix up Lindt balls, gratitude reminders and gin miniatures in my own, I think!)
Then, for December, you can choose how to display (or hide!) your calendar - will you pop them all in a pretty basket where you can rummage each day for the next delight? Hide them in an unassuming shoebox in your wardrobe to keep them genuinely just for you and dip in each day? Hang them all on a ribbon garland, a twiggy branch or a gorgeous piece of driftwood? Or tack them to a larger piece of material to adorn a bigger wall or door? I can't wait to see what you decide!
Look after yourself too this December; I can't wait to share a crafty Advent with you.
